White Oak Music Hall owners list 4 acres near venue

The owners of White Oak Music Hall are looking to sell four acres near North Main, including some of the parking for the Near Northside music venue and a neighborhood bar.

Dosch Marshall Real Estate is marketing the site as a redevelopment play. The property, at Keene and Boundary, just east of Interstate 45, is in an Opportunity Zone and near Metro’s light rail line and the White Oak Bayou trail.

Since hitting the market a couple weeks ago, the property has seen strong interest, said listing broker Tim Dosch.

“A lot of the apartment guys are really excited about it,” he said.

Since White Oak opened in 2016, the venue has been the subject of legal issues stemming from the volume of its music.

It settled a case with area residents in 2018, and just this week a Houston municipal judge upheld a provision of the city’s noise ordinance related to vibrations and resonance. White Oak employees had challenged the constitutionality of the provision, saying it leads to arbitrary violation decisions.
