Howard Rambin III, co-founder and principal of longtime commercial real estate firm Moody Rambin, was also honored as the Lifetime Achievement Award winner during the event.
Projects are recognized for excellence in land planning, design, construction, economics, marketing and management. Nominations were open to all real estate projects completed in the greater Houston area from Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2019.
Entries were judged on impact to Houston, such as job creation, innovation, best use of land, site plan, development of surrounding neighborhoods, visual plan, amenities and being environmentally friendly.
This year’s judges were Jim Carman, president of the Houston region for The Howard Hughes Corp.; Roberto Contreras, president and CEO of DC Partners; Pam Jesse, CFO of Midway; Jeff Lindenberger, a principal at Avison Young; Kyle Rottet, director of marketing for Rottet Studio; Michael Scheurich, CEO of Arch-Con Corp.; Steven Seltzer, president of Sheridan Commercial Real Estate Advisory. Judges recused themselves from voting on projects they were directly involved with.
