Dosch Marshall Real Estate Receives Landmark Award

Dosch Marshall Real Estate receives Landmark Award from the Houston Business Journal

(October 12, 2020) Dosch Marshall Real Estate is proud to announce The Alexan Memorial and the Broadstone Museum District were recognized by HBJ as Landmark Award finalists.

The Landmark Awards recognize projects for excellence in land planning, design, construction, economics, marketing and management. All entries were judged on impact to Houston, such as job creation, innovation, best use of land, site plan, development of surrounding neighborhoods, visual plan, amenities and being environmentally friendly. Nominations were open to all real estate projects completed in the greater Houston area from Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2019. Winners were announced on September 24th during a live online broadcast with the Alexan Memorial winning a Landmark Award in the Land Deal category.

About the Alexan Memorial

Land along Memorial is rare, and in this case, the tract of land was 2.5 acres and owned by a nonprofit organization. The development of this property marks the development of one of the last large acreage sites along Memorial inside the 610 Loop.

The land has been owned by DePelchin, a foster care and adoption agency, for decades, but it wasn’t until 2018 that it decided to formally market the property after receiving several unsolicited offers over the years. DMRE represented Depelchin in the sale of the Property and received offers from a number of the most active developers in the Nation. Trammel Crow Residential was selected through a Best and Final Process and closed on the Property in 2019.

About the Broadstone Museum District

DMRE represented Alliance in the purchase of the Property in the Montrose/Museum District area to redevelop a shopping center that had existed there for decades. Alliance is developing a nine-story, 325-unit luxury residential project on Montrose Boulevard at U.S. 59, a premier location in Houston. The developers say it’s rare to find 2 acres of contiguous land on Montrose available for re-development.
